Northern Silents commissions and creates new projects.

As well as our festivals and our spring/summer season, Northern Silents develops new ideas for music and film and creates special projects.

Our first major project was Echoes of the North, a collaboration between composer Neil Brand, Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band, and four British film archives - and the first ever brass brand score for silent film.

We’re now working on several new ideas, and we’ll announce each one here.
